Hollywood Buzz #107

«In terms of sheer craftsmanship, this is a superb film.»
Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times.

«It's the kind of outrageous, excessive flourish that can make Mr. Scott's work so enjoyable in the moment. He doesn't do much, but with a handful of appealing actors in tow, he sure keeps that machine going.»
Manohla Dargis, The New York Times.

«Given the linear, one-track nature of the plot, Scott and Bomback prove surprisingly effective at delivering a well-rounded experience, going out of their way to fill in the personalities of their two leads.»
Peter Debruge, Variety.

«The best blue collar action movie in who knows how long, this tense, narrowly focused thriller about a runaway freight train has a lean and pure simplicity to it that is satisfying in and of itself.»
Todd McCarthy, The Hollywood Reporter.

«Takes off like a crazy-ass rocket. Your head will spin. Your palms will sweat. Your nerves will fry. What more do you want from a train movie? A layered plot and deep-dish profundity? As if.»
Peter Travers, Rolling Stone.
