Hollywood Buzz #73

O que se diz lá fora sobre SHUTTER ISLAND, de Martin Scorsese

«The film's primary effect is on the senses. Everything is brought together into a disturbing foreshadow of dreadful secrets.»
Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times.

«Mr. Scorsese uses his considerable formal dexterity — his intimate, comprehensive understanding of how sound and image work together to create meanings and moods — to conjure a tingly atmosphere of uncertainty and dread.»
A.O. Scott, New York Times.

«Expert, screw-turning narrative filmmaking put at the service of old-dark-madhouse claptrap.»
Todd McCarthy, Variety.

«A remarkable high-wire act, performed without a net and exploiting all the accumulated skills of a consummate artist. It dazzles and provokes. But since when did Scorsese become a circus performer?»
Kirk Honeycutt, Hollywood Reporter.

«Martin Scorsese makes movies as if his life depends on it, never skimping on ferocity and feeling.»
Peter Travers, Rolling Stone.

Estou louca para assistir esse filme. Vi o trailer dias destes e me parece que Scorsese dá uma repaginada com um misto de insanidade, suspense e terror.

Vamos esperar!
